Covid Death Rates

envato, covid, corona virus

The media reports CV infections and deaths as total numbers that sound alarming. But it’s hard to make sense of the numbers without knowing the rate based on population and also how they compare to other causes like the flu. But as you can see from the table below, the CV death rate is quite low especially compared to the flu and other causes (as of March 31, 2020). So the lockdowns and other extreme measures don’t make sense.

Note also that Utah is ten times lower than the rest of the nation. Although it is possible and even probable for certain areas to have larger outbreaks, there is growing evidence that the numbers being reported, even in Utah, are exaggerated. For example, the rate in Mexico (which hasn’t “benefited” from being locked down) is much lower than the U.S. even in areas near the border (where there are more than a million legal border crossings per year). Like California’s 6200 cases vs Baja California’s 23, Arizona’s 919 vs Sonora’s 14, and New Mexico’s 237 vs Chihuahua’s 6. But there’s a simple, if disturbing,  explanation for what’s going on around the world–if you’re willing to let your eyes be opened.
