Psalm 91
[with my comments/interpretation]“1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High [is focused on God]
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty [have His protection].
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler [Satan]
and from the perilous pestilence [pandemics].
4 He shall cover you with His feathers [protect you during the judgments],
and under His wings you shall take refuge [in places of safety];
His truth [scriptures] shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night [demonic attacks],
Nor of the arrow that flies by day [wars],
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness [fear of coming plagues],
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday [earthquakes/volcanoes/storms].
7 A thousand may fall at your side [from coronavirus…],
And ten thousand at your right hand [from ebola…];
But it [plagues and destructions] shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look [you will see terrible things], and see the reward of the wicked [to understand what they must experience to hopefully turn back to God with your help].
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place [your object of focus and attention],
10 No evil shall befall you [from satanic forces],
Nor shall any plague [like CV] come near your dwelling [your house and family];
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you [at all times],
To keep you in all your ways [activities and endeavors].
12 In their hands [we have the right to call on angelic protection] they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone [keep you safe from harm and accident].
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra [Satan and his forces], The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot [you will have power over the enemy].
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me [through faith and obedience], therefore
I will deliver him [from the enemy and from harm];
I will set him on high [in authority over others],
because he has known My name [followed and respected God’s commandments].
15 He shall call upon Me [in prayer], and I will answer him [fulfill all needs];
I will be with him in trouble [tribulations and judgments];
I will deliver him and honor him [with healings, food, and provisions]
16 With long life I will satisfy him [translation in earth’s terrestrial millenium],
and show him My salvation [resurrection and celestial exaltation].”
